Job Description
A skilled and experienced welder-fabricator. Detail-oriented, organised, inventive and willing to learn more, the perfect candidate for this position has to possess qualities that separate them to fit into a team of highly driven individuals. This role requires previous experience and knowledge of MIG and TIG welding. This position requires excellent skill and knowledge in TIG welding as this is a specialised service that we provide. The work produced will be versatile and aided by advanced equipment.

This role will be an integral part of the team, responsible for providing a high level of quality in manufacturing, showing consistency in the level of dedication to each job and persistent willingness to learn and improve skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine project specifications and requirements.

  • Select and prepare the appropriate materials for fabrication, such as metal sheets and hollow sections.

  • Use various tools and equipment to fabricate and shape metal components, including welding machines, grinders, and saws.

  • Weld parts according to project specifications and perform welding operations, including MIG, especially TIG.

  • Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments or repairs.

  • Operate cutting equipment, such as plasma cutters, to cut and shape metal components as needed.

  • Proficient skills in using advanced measuring tools such as callipers to ensure accurate dimensions and alignments during fabrication.

  • Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers and designers, to discuss project requirements and provide input on feasibility and design improvements.

  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.

  • Maintain welding and fabrication equipment by performing regular maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Welder-Fabricator or similar role.

  • Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG.

  • Strong knowledge of different types of metals and their properties.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.

  • Skilled in using welding and fabrication tools and equipment.

  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.

  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues.

  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Employment Type & Compensation

Full-Time: Salary negotiable & experience-dependent.

This position is required for 38 hours a week.
